Test your AI before going live

Work down these five groups with a test lead using your own phone number. Everything here is faster to fix before real leads arrive.

Routing

Check the lead lands in the right place

  • The contact was created correctly
  • The correct representative was assigned
  • The correct iMessage line sent the message
  • The correct AI was activated on the conversation

Messaging

Check the message reads like a person

  • First name populates correctly
  • Custom fields populate correctly
  • Initial message variations are rotating
  • Message length looks natural, not like a broadcast
  • SMS fallback works if you test with an Android number

AI behavior

Reply as a real lead would and watch what happens

  • Qualification questions get asked and captured
  • Objections are handled the way you want
  • Knowledge answers are accurate and current
  • Disqualification behaves correctly
  • Opt out language ends the conversation properly
  • Follow ups send on the schedule you configured

Calendar

Book, move, and cancel a real test appointment

  • The correct calendar is connected
  • Availability appears when the AI offers times
  • An appointment actually books
  • The correct representative or calendar is used
  • Rescheduling works
  • Cancellation works

Automations

Check what happens after the conversation

  • CRM fields update
  • Tags update
  • Notifications reach the right person
  • The AI turns off at the point you intended
  • AI to AI handoff works if you configured one

How many tests to run

One clean test is not enough. Run several complete conversations that end differently: one that books, one that stalls and needs a follow up, one that objects, and one that gets disqualified. Those four paths cover most of what real leads do.

Test with more than one number

If you only ever test with your own iPhone you never see the carrier text path. Borrow an Android phone for one run.
